Wing Shot Target Launcher
by Bullseye Archery

Wow, is this fun! Bullseye Archery's Wing Shot Target Launcher is a blast! It is also the perfect way to prepare for hunting game birds with a recurve or longbow. The launcher tosses an eight inch archery target into the air. The height of the target can be adjusted from just a few feet into the air, to up to thirty feet into the air. It almost perfectly simulates the launch of a pheasent from a hidden location.

Practicing to shoot flying targets has never been easy. Until now, if you wanted to practice at these with your bow, you needed a helper to throw the targets into the air. Bullseye Archery has solved that problem with their Wing Shot Target Launcher. The launcher can be triggered by the archer or by a helper. Shooting arrows at the target does require Flu-Flu arrows, or you will never find your arrows. With Flu-Flu's your arrows are standing point down within fifty or sixty yards beyond the launcher.

We have had opportunity to test this in the last month and to see other archers test it as well. It seems, almost without exception, that once an archer tries this, once is not enough.

This Wing Shot Target Launcher is a must for every archery club, and particullarly if there is a number of traditional archery shooters. It can be used as a novelty item. We witnessed a number of shooters expecting to pay to be able to shoot at the targets, and willing they were to do so, too.

We did notice one problem with the Wing Shot Target Launcher however, when a number of shooters are targeting the disk. Arguments! Yep, arguments! "No, it was my arrow that hit it!" "NO! That was mine." "You knocked the target away from my arrow!" "I would have hit it, if you hadn't hit it first!"

And the interesting thing about this, was that many compound shooters were picking up recurves for the first time in years to take a crack at hitting these babies.

Bullseye Archery, which operates a traditional archery exhibition show, and also has a magnificent Whitetail trophy show as well, developed this as a practical matter to be able to practice their trick shots. It clearly is a great tool for practicing wing shooting at game birds. And even Bill and Todd Giffin, owners, find themselves addicted to firing arrow after arrow at these launched disks.

Bullseye, is currently marketing these launchers, and is working on a multiple launcher as well. The launcher comes with a foot peddle trigger that can be used by the archer or a helper or bystander. It also comes with three eight inch target disks. Bullseye, plans to offer Flu-Flu arrows for sale as well.
